About FX Event Calendar

An economic calendar built around the South African trading day: every release time in SAST, every event tagged with the ZAR pairs it touches.

Why we built this

General-purpose economic calendars show times in GMT, New York time, or the visitor's browser zone, and they list every release in every economy. A South African trader wants two things neither of those gives directly: the time in SAST without arithmetic, and a way to see at a glance which releases actually matter to USD/ZAR, EUR/ZAR and GBP/ZAR. This site is that filter.

What we are not

FX Event Calendar is not a licensed financial services provider, investment adviser or broker, and nothing here is financial, investment or trading advice. We do not publish forecasts of our own and we do not tell you how to trade a release. Event times and figures are informational; before trading any release, verify it against the issuing authority — the SARB, Stats SA, the Federal Reserve, the BLS, the ECB or the Bank of England as the case may be.

Our relationship with FxPro

FX Event Calendar earns a referral commission when a visitor opens a trading account with FxPro through a link on this site. We featured FxPro because it holds FSCA authorisation (FSP 45052) and offers ZAR-denominated accounts — the two conditions we set before building the site. The affiliate relationship followed that decision, not the other way around. It does not affect which events appear on the calendar or how they are tagged.
